Caroline Thery-Lievens

Partner

Caroline Thery-Lievens, partner, works in all areas of corporate real estate and real estate financing.

She advises private and institutional investors on their real estate projects and provides support and assistance to French and foreign banks on real estate financing and refinancing.

Caroline graduated from the Faculty of Law at Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and holds a Diplôme Supérieur du Notariat (DSN – postgraduate diploma in notarial practice).

Caroline joined Attal & Associés in 2000 and was made a partner in 2011.

Julien Cahen

Partner

Julien Cahen, partner, specialises in real estate law and financing.

He advises an institutional client base of mainly international organisations, and assists them with their investment or development/redevelopment projects across all categories of real estate assets, particularly office space, logistics, retail premises and hotels.

He joined Attal & Associés in 2021, after 15 years' experience as an employee and later partner in leading firms of notaries.

He graduated in law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University (DSN) and holds a Master's II in real estate law and construction awarded by the same university.

Languages: French and English

Julien is a member of the Fédération des Acteurs de la Métropole, a networking association with a focus on investing in real estate and socially responsible investment (SRI).

Daniéla Ionescu

Partner

Daniela Ionescu, partner, specialises in corporate real estate law.

She works with an institutional client base of leading French and international players and supports their investment projects, particularly in the tertiary sector (office space, logistics and retail premises) at every stage of the process (audits, practical analysis of legal and economic issues, negotiations and signature of contracts) for all kinds of transactions (sales and acquisitions of individual buildings, portfolios, share deals and development projects).

She graduated in law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University with a Master's in European Union Law and from Aix-Marseille University with a DSN.

Languages: French, English and Romanian.

Catherine Foiselle

Partner

Catherine Foiselle, partner, heads up the firm's private clients division.

She has been supporting these prestigious individuals with their real estate and family projects for over 20 years.

Thanks to this extensive experience, she is well placed to advise individuals, business owners, investors and family offices on matters ranging from buying and selling all kinds of real estate assets to wealth management strategies that meet their personal needs.

She joined Attal & Associés in 1999 and was made a partner in 2008.

Jean-Michel Attal

Partner

Jean-Michel Attal is a graduate of the ESSEC Business School (class of 1976) and holds the Diplôme Supérieur de Notariat (DSN – postgraduate diploma in notarial practice).

He began his career in 1976 and became a partner in the firm "Attal & Associés, notaries" in 1984.

Around 25 years ago, he began the process of moving the firm's practice towards complex real estate and financing.

As a result, he has long provided support to a French and international client base made up of institutional investors, investment funds and credit institutions in all areas of complex real estate (investments, sales and acquisitions of real estate portfolios, disposals of company shares and structured real estate finance). A significant part of his and the firm's work is carried out in English.

His in-depth knowledge of the key players in corporate real estate and their specific needs means he is well equipped to support his clients' strategic decisions, providing guidance and advice for the long term.

 

Benjamin Sellam Kazoula

Partner

Benjamin Sellam Kazoula, notary, specialises in corporate real estate law and structured finance.

He works with a French and international client base made up of institutional investors, listed property companies and banks, particularly in the tertiary sectors (office space, logistics, retail premises and hotels) and provides advice on all types of real estate transactions (arbitrage arrangements, acquisitions and financing of real estate assets (individual or portfolio), outsourcing and disposal of securities.

He graduated in law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University (DSN) and in economics and international management from the business school HEC Paris.

Caroline Simon

Partner

Partner Caroline Simon specializes in family law and wealth strategy.

With 18 years' experience in family law in Paris as an associate and then partner, she works with a diverse and demanding clientele.

With a human approach, she is committed to accompanying her clients through all the crucial stages of their lives (marriage, divorce, inheritance), offering personalized advice and optimization strategies tailored to their needs.

Her complementary expertise in corporate law and literary and artistic property also enables her to advise entrepreneurs and artists on their private and professional asset transfer projects.

A graduate of the University of Nantes and holder of the Diplôme Supérieur du Notariat de Paris II, Caroline Simon joined the team and was appointed associate notary in 2023.

Aurélie Champenois

Notary

Aurélie Champenois, notary, specialises in real estate law.

 

She has worked for over 15 years with mainly individual clients, advising them at every stage of their real estate and wealth management transactions.

 

She also supports a client base of investors in the areas of split and off-plan sales.

 

Aurélie is a graduate of the University of Bourgogne (Master's II in private law) and the Centre de Formation Professionnelle Notariale (notaries' training centre) in Paris.

Kevin Dalmasso-Vuattoux

Notary

Kévin Dalmasso-Vuattoux, notary, specialises in the law of property rights and family law.

He joined Attal & Associés in 2019, having honed his skills in these areas with a number of firms in Paris. He was made a notary in 2021.

He provides support to a prestigious client base focused on organising and passing on their private and business assets, as well as dealing with cases involving international law.

His DSN dissertation was on the topic of "Company formation: a means for donors to pass on their assets" and he holds a Master's II in the law of business assets (M.223) awarded by Paris-Dauphine University.
